Veritas – Lenticular Clouds artwork

Veritas was composed and released in March 2020, during the first weeks of confinement. The album was created in a rural environment, where the artist remained isolated during this period.

In contrast to previous releases, Veritas adopts a more instrumental and conceptual approach. Percussion is almost absent throughout the record, allowing harmonic structures, textures and sustained tones to take a central role.

Concept

The compositions are inspired by native flora found around the place where the album was written. Each track takes the scientific name of a plant species, functioning both as a title and as a point of reference for its sonic character.

Rather than illustrating specific narratives, the album operates as a quiet catalogue of presence, observation and stillness. In a moment dominated by constant information and emergency metrics, Veritas withdraws into slowness and attention.

Veritas stands as a low-profile release, shaped by isolation and reduced to essential elements. Its significance lies less in visibility than in its function as a sonic document of a suspended moment in time.
